설명

From the Movies

Clone commander 5052, also known as Bly, was the leader of the Star Corps of clone troopers assigned to Jedi General Aayla Secura. He served with her on the exotic world of Felucia when he received Order 66. The executive command, originating from the Supreme Chancellor on Coruscant, identified Secura as a traitorous enemy of the state. Demonstrating his unerring loyalty to the Republic, Bly and his troopers raised their rifles and opened fire on their commanding officer, coldly killing the unsuspecting Jedi.

From the Expanded Universe

Bly was one of the first generation of clone commanders to be trained by the ARC trooper Alpha. The ARC troopers were a specially bred type of clone, more independent and with less docility tampering than the standard trooper of the line. Alpha's training program emphasized independence and outside-the-manual thinking.

Though the clone commanders demonstrated greater creativity and individuality because of this program, Bly was nonetheless a product of an artificial upbringing, and his conditioning made him preternaturally loyal to Republic. During a mission to Honoghr, when the Jedi turncoat Quinlan Vos struck up a makeshift alliance with Aayla Secura to recover vital Separatist data from the poisoned planet, Bly had difficulty working with the traitorous Vos. He nonetheless followed Secura's orders to respect the truce, internalizing his misgivings and carrying out commands to the letter.

Bly and the 327th Star Corps served with Secura on tours that took them to New Holstice, Honoghr, Anzat and Saleucami. The constant reassignments occasionally wore on his sense of closure -- a trait peculiar to Bly and shared by Aayla. Bly preferred to complete missions that he started, but nonetheless obediently followed orders to ship off elsewhere when needed.

Behind the Scenes

The initial digital model of Bly had red markings, but this was changed to yellow to better suit the Felucia environment. Imagery of the red Bly saw publication and became the basis of a Hasbro action figure, even though a clone trooper with those particular markings did not appear in Episode III.
