설명

From the Expanded Universe

When just in his early 20s, Zakarisz Ghent was a vital part of Talon Karrde's smuggling operation. He was regarded as possibly the best slicer in the business. Recruited from Chibias, Ghent handled all of Karrde's computers and droids, keeping them running smoothly.

Ghent gobbled Imperial encrypt codes as a hobby. He was 12 when he cracked the ILKO encrypt in two months -- something which took all of Alliance Intelligence a month to accomplish. He had also sliced the Lepido program with little effort.

While incredibly proficient with a computer, Ghent's streetwise skills could have used a little work. His loose lips let slip much information about Karrde's dealings with Grand Admiral Thrawn, tipping the New Republic to the renewed Imperial threat.

During the Thrawn campaign, New Republic Admiral Ackbar was imprisoned on suspicion of taking illegal funds and conspiracy. Karrde suspected the funds allocated to Ackbar's account were the work of an expert slicer, and wanted Ghent to prove his suspicions. Two days after his arrival on Coruscant, Ghent had Ackbar cleared.

With nothing to do, and stranded on Coruscant during an Imperial siege, Ghent went to work with the New Republic crypt staff to slice through the Imperial battle encrypt code. In his month-long stay on Coruscant, Ghent even sliced through the pulse transmitter encrypt code used by the mysterious Delta Source. This led Leia Organa Solo and Winter to determine who or what Delta Source was, and put an end to that intelligence leak.

A short time later, when Leia needed to get to the planet Wayland, Ghent rigged a fake Imperial transponder code on the Wild Karrde that allowed it to carry her there. Later still, Ghent accompanied Han Solo, Lando Calrissian and Mara Jade when they needed to liberate the prison facility on Kessel.

Ghent's slicing career brought him to the legitimate side of the law, as his continued assistance to New Republic Intelligence garnered him a number of valuable contacts. He would eventually ascend to Chief of Cryptography for the New Republic.

In his twenties, Ghent was a short, slender human male with almond-colored skin and poor complexion. He has long blue hair, and his face is marked with blue tattoos. He has a strange sense of humor and lacks social graces, but is ultimately a likable sort.
